G-MAX & GX-5 Xtreme Swing

Hey! We're back again!

In this week’s highlight of our 5-part Exclusive, we're here to enlighten you all on this great adventure spot, BUNGEE JUMPING!

Well jumping isn’t exactly the right word to use, cause in G-MAX, it’s REVERSE BUNGEE!

Confused? WELL, DON’T BE!

G-MAX The Ultimate Bungy

The G-MAX was invented in New Zealand by Troy Griffin in 1995.

Imagine, walking up a small ramp onto a platform. In the middle of the platform hovers* a strange-looking contraption, it’s like a caged ball.

As the assistants strap you in, you can’t help but notice how two bungee cords are attached to the craft, extending to the top of two tall towers that lean overhead. You take a gulp as you realise just how high it is. The assistants step back. They start to tighten the bungee ropes. Your craft angles back and you find yourself staring into the open sky. You feel the tension against the contraption you are in. You feel the tension throughout your body as you grip the sides of the seats, waiting for that unknown time in which the locks will release. The adrenaline is pumping through your body, you realise you’re taking shallow breaths.

THE LOCKS RELEASE and you find yourself sailing through the air, upwards and upwards, the towers fly by you and now, you’re above them. The caged craft flips over and so does your stomach, you plunge back towards the ground, only to stop and get thrown back up.

*The craft in which you are seated in is not hovering, it rests on the ground.

Interesting?! There's more to come.

GX-5 Xtreme Swing

There is also the GX-5 XTREME SWING, in this ride, you are winched upwards and released. You sail almost across the Clarke Quay River and swing back, like a pendulum!

Not only are the tickets reasonably priced at $45 per ride, there are also combo packages offered that just ooze VALUE-FOR-MONEY.

We checked it out last Sunday and boy was the queue long! So hurry up and get over there, you’ll have a Swinging(pun) good time! Did we mention that they offer video services to capture those unforgettable moments? There’s so much to miss out on, so don’t! Swing over to Clarke Quay, the G-MAX Reverse Bungy Site and the GX-5 Xtreme Swing are alongside the Singapore River, next to the Coleman Bridge.

Clarke Quay MRT is just across the river; exit the MRT by the Eu Tong Sen Street exit and turn left to cross the Coleman Bridge.

No monkey business now I tell ya!

Xtreme Skate Park

Xtreme Skate Park

Heys, feel the itch for skating or showing off your bicycle stunts?

Here's the right place for YOU!

Stunt!!! =D

The Xtreme Skate Park at East Coast is the first ever skate park which is of international standards. If you want to experience exciting adventure and in Singapore, the Xtreme Skate Park is the place to be!

This skate park caters to extreme sports enthusiasts and they can look forward to a mind blowing experience. I had a wonderful experience visiting Singapore’s newest skate park. The unique feature that makes this skate park special is the breathtaking beach front setting that has been incorporated into the whole experience.

This's not all!

Another great thing about this park is that it caters to all extreme skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX bikers. It enables them to hone their skills and practice their routines for recreation and competition. Even if you are not into extreme sports, it would be an exhilarating experience to watch and be amazed by the various stunts that are showcased. We are fortunate enough to have witnessed those amazing stunts and we have to say that it was a jaw dropping experience.

Furthermore, the perfect location of the skate park allows not only for the people interested to have fun but it is significantly built close by to other extreme sport facilities like cable skiing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, inline skating and cycling so that everyone is able to enjoy this beautiful place of Adventure & Sports.

This place is perfect for you if you are an extreme sport enthusiast but do take note that it is not for leisure activities like cycling or roller blading but there is certain amount of danger involved. Adult supervision is highly recommended if kids are interested to try the stunts in the skate park. The patrons of the skate park are responsible for their own safety and the skate park is not responsible for any injuries that may occur.

SKI 360° @ East Coast Park

SKI 360°

Ever wonder where in Singapore can you get to ski? The sea? Lagoon? Or lake? No, these ain't the best places.

Here is the solution by us, The Xtremers!

We are proud to present to you SKI 360°, Singapore 1st Cable Ski Park located at East Coast Park, one of the most popular beaches in Singapore.

Cable skiing or wakeboarding, as the name implies, is waterskiing or wakeboarding where particoants are not pulled by a boat, but by an overhead cable, very similar to a snow ski lift, but erected around the banks of a lake.

With a top speed of 58 kph, WoW! You'll be flying instead of skiing!

"One has to remember that failure is the stepping stone to success"

As you grab the cable and prepare to ski, you feel the adrenaline rush coming as the spectators started to crowd around the lake to watch. The cable moves suddenly and you are caught unexpectedly but recover your balance quickly. Here comes the first obstacle, a 50 cm high ramp which you surf up and turn 180° effortlessly. You thought to yourself, "Hey! This is pretty fun!".

In front of your eyes looms the nest obstacle, a double ramp that looks as tall as you. You have to be prepared for this moment, the stunt you have been rehearsing. As you surf up the ramps, you did a 360° followed by a single-handed somersault! Thunderous roars of applause can be heard from the banks and you grin to yourself.

Simply watch a short clip on a few simple stunt & feel the rush now

This must be the experience you're looking for! Wow, and be sure to feel fantastic and empowered. So come on down to feel the thrill and let loose yourself, right at SKI 360°!

A Close-up View on another short stunt

It is worth giving a try! Missed it, and you'll regret!

Hungry after your awesome ski? Fear not, food is just nearby. Feel free to grab a bite at The 360 Restaurant & Bar, or simply take a short break, view the blue calm sea and the lagoon while enjoying the sumptuous western cuisine.
